The Chinese comparison structure uses the pattern A + 比 (bǐ) + B + adjective to express that A is more [adjective] than B. This is equivalent to saying 'A is more... than B' or 'A is -er than B' in English.
Pattern:
Subject + 比 (bǐ) + Object + Adjective我比他高
wǒ bǐ tā gāo
I am taller than him
